Offline partial discharge measurements for 20 kV cables in the wind farm’s internal network

Despro successfully performed offline partial discharge measurements for two wind farms in Lithuania, ensuring the condition of 20 kV cables. Through these measurements, the client obtained crucial information about the cables’ condition and operational reliability, enabling worry-free use in the future.
The first collaboration project with European Energy was a great success, and the partnership continues with new sites and PD measurements.

Project Process
At the beginning of the project, careful planning and the preparation of a measurement plan were the main focus. Despro worked closely with Robertas Černeckis from European Energy to ensure that all measurement requirements were properly addressed.
The measurement plan outlined the specific sites, cables, and terminations to be examined, as well as the agreed measurement sequence and key contacts. Both Despro and the client prepared thoroughly for the measurements, which were carried out according to the agreed schedule.
