Despro was founded in 2015 to meet the demand for highly specialized and comprehensive distribution network design. When no suitable supplier could be found on the market, a team of passionate engineers decided to establish one.

Despro specializes in expert services for renewable energy and critical infrastructure. Our diverse expertise covers the entire lifecycle of networks, from design to commissioning and maintenance. We serve contractors, network owners, and other industry players with professionalism and flexibility.

We boldly create solutions that address the evolving needs of the market and our clients. We are present and listen carefully, collaborating to find the best solutions that help our clients achieve their goals on time.

Our Quality Policy

Despro Engineering Oy’s quality policy is based on the company’s values and quality manual, which together establish unified and high-quality operating methods for Despro. These ensure the best possible quality in Despro’s service packages for our clients.

The CEO of Despro, together with the management team and staff, is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality operations. We make sure that our shared goals and operating methods are understood and followed across all areas of the company. Agreed operational processes in various areas provide the foundation for unified practices. The implementation of the quality policy and processes is monitored annually through internal and external audits, management reviews, and a balanced scorecard defined for each business line. Our goal is continuous improvement. We apply ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications in our operations to guarantee quality.

Customer

The work package delivered by Despro to the customer must meet the customer’s requirements and the terms of the agreement. We strive to deliver work packages with as few errors as possible. Error-free delivery is ensured through internal inspection processes, active customer communication, and skilled project personnel.

To guarantee quality for the customer, we continuously measure customer satisfaction across all projects.

The results of customer surveys are promptly forwarded to the project organization, facilitating the continuous improvement of our operations. Negative feedback is addressed immediately and reviewed by the management team. Customer satisfaction results and trends are monitored by each business unit. Customer satisfaction targets are included in Despro’s unit-specific scorecards.

Our Personnel, Health, and Safety Policy

Despro Engineering Oy’s personnel policy outlines the key principles of personnel management across various sectors. High-quality personnel management has been a cornerstone for Despro from the very beginning. We build the company by recognizing the value of each individual and genuinely fostering a shared future. Promoting a responsible work community is part of every Despro employee’s duty. Our shared values are trust, respect, and accountability. Our personnel processes and principles bring together various practices and translate high-quality personnel management into actionable steps.

Health and Safety

Despro Engineering Oy requires its personnel to work and operate in a safe manner. Through targeted safety measures and continuous improvement, we ensure our operations adhere to the latest safety standards, with a goal of continuous enhancement. Our practices meet all legal, regulatory, industry, and client and partner requirements.

We maintain a nationwide leadership and occupational safety organization that works closely together to:

  • Communicate openly about health and safety matters
  • Ensure necessary guidelines, instructions, and results are accessible to everyone
  • Conduct regular safety inspections at all locations
  • Guarantee that all employees have the necessary skills to perform their tasks safely
  • Ensure the induction process functions properly when introducing new services.

 

Personnel Planning and Recruitment

Personnel planning at Despro Engineering Oy is based on the company’s strategy and the derived action plans. Our personnel and training plans are developed annually in collaboration with the staff. We advance joint development projects related to personnel planning with various development groups and update the direction of these projects and new needs twice a year based on the results of staff satisfaction surveys, in cooperation with our employees. Despro Engineering Oy does not use child labor and does not tolerate discrimination in any form. Our work environment is equal, and staff have the freedom to organize. We encourage open communication and participation in shared matters.

Despro’s recruitment supports the company’s business goals and is based on assessed needs and role-specific skills and performance requirements. As a growing company, we regularly offer diverse career opportunities within the organization, recruit new experts with strong experience in the field, and also train new experts through regular recruitment training programs. For each position, we select the most suitable and development-capable candidate.

Compensation

Despro’s compensation policy is based on applicable laws, regulations, and agreements. In addition, salaries are determined by the demands of the role, the level of responsibility, the employee’s skills, performance, and results. The accuracy and fairness of salary and demand levels are reviewed annually for the entire staff.

The occupational safety organization and the management team address all workplace accidents and safety observations, share the lessons learned, and actively brainstorm new health, safety, and quality improvement projects. Our principle is to monitor the progress of development projects and ensure they are completed with commitment. We actively collaborate with occupational health services, with a particular focus on project management and fieldwork.

We actively report identified safety deficiencies or areas for improvement through deviation reporting. We identify safety and occupational health risks as part of our comprehensive risk management. Through risk management, we ensure the continuity of our operations and prevent accidents, occupational diseases, and other risks.

Responsible management, employee involvement, and high-quality expert collaboration are the cornerstones of our occupational safety and health practices. By listening to each other and learning together, we build a safe and thriving Despro. Every Despro employee is involved in developing a unified company culture and implementing personnel policies. The definition of Despro’s personnel strategy is part of the company’s strategic work, and the progress of this work is monitored according to the management’s annual calendar.

Leadership and Supervisory Functions

We place a strong emphasis on high-quality leadership and the development of our leadership culture. The quality of leadership is assessed annually. For a growing company operating in multiple locations, it is crucial to ensure the provision of high-quality and equitable leadership services throughout the organization. Despro’s leadership is service-oriented, responsible, and aligned with our values.

It is the supervisor’s responsibility to orient each employee to Despro’s values and responsible practices and to ensure that employees understand their responsibilities and goals.

Supervisors conduct biannual coaching discussions with each employee. The focus areas of these discussions are well-being, career planning, job quality, and common goals. Supervisors are responsible for the expertise of their team members and the targeted, long-term, and diverse development of their skills. Annually, through Despro Academy, we initiate training programs that support the company’s strategy. Additionally, we encourage employees to proactively and actively develop their skills through individual training, which Despro strongly supports as an employer.

Responsibilities

The personnel policy has been approved by Despro’s management team. Each member of the Despro leadership is responsible for ensuring compliance with the personnel policy and principles within their own area of responsibility, as well as for managing personnel resources. The immediate supervisor is the employer’s representative in personnel matters.
