Despro ensuring quality and safety in the 50 MW Isokangas energy storage project

Despro is acting as Owner’s Engineer and Safety Coordinator in the Isokangas 50 MW BESS project, providing local construction management and site supervision services. The 50 MW Isokangas energy storage facility is being built near Oulu and is scheduled for completion in 2026. Project is an important part of strengthening the flexibility and security of supply in the Nordic power grid, and it has been strategically located near a recently built Fingrid substation along the Aurora Line.
Despro’s services cover comprehensive construction management and site supervision as a local partner. Responsibilities include representing the owners’ interests, acting as safety coordinator, and ensuring the project’s quality, schedule, and safety in close cooperation with all stakeholders.
