Supporting Delta Capacity from development to construction
125 MW / 300 MWh BESS | Teuva, Finland
Despro Engineering is supporting Delta Capacity in the final developing stages, procurement and construction of the Karppio Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Finland.
The project, with a planned power capacity of 125 MW and energy capacity 300 MWh, is among the significant grid-scale energy storage developments currently progressing in Finland. Project also includes new 110kV/33kV substation. BESS and substation will be connected to Fingrid Kärppiö 110kV substation.

Owner’s Engineering support throughout the project lifecycle
Despro acts as Owner’s Engineer, providing project and grid management services, technical review, procurement assistance, construction preparation and supervision including safety coordinator services. Our local expertise covers the project lifecycle.
The cooperation started the development and procurement phase, where Despro supported Delta Capacity in evaluating technical solutions, reviewing contractor proposals, supporting grid compliance activities and preparing the project for construction.
As the project moves into the construction phase, Despro’s multidisciplinary team continues to support Delta Capacity with electrical, civil, safety and site management expertise, helping ensure successful delivery of the project.
